Da Bears Robotics Team Competes at State Competition

Berkley High School’s Robotics Team, Da Bears Team 247, competed at the State Robotics Championship at Saginaw Valley University on April 3-5, 2025.
The team competed at States for the first time in over a decade and finished 39th overall with a 3-9 record. The team faced tough competition, yet consistently scored points and demonstrated growth across all three phases of gameplay.
The team has had an excellent season. Highlights include earning the prestigious Judges Award, team alliance captains, and qualifying for States.
Team mentors shared that the students had an incredible experience this year, learning valuable lessons and they are already motivated for next season.
Team 247 extends their deepest thanks to the parents, volunteers, and the school district, especially Principal Meloche, for their unwavering encouragement. “Mr. Meloche’s presence at the State Championship meant the world to our students, and his support continues to inspire our team,” shared the Team in a news release.
“The kids played with heart, had a ton of fun, and learned so much,” said one mentor. “We are so proud of what they accomplished this year.”
