Rogers:  Weekly Raccoon Review 9/20/24

September 20, 2024

Rogers Families,

Please take a moment to review the Raccoon Review building newsletter which aims to share the news for the week as well any upcoming messages etc.  Instead of seeing multiple emails a week, you will find almost everything within the weekly Friday newsletter.

In this week's edition checkout:

  • Peace Day & Constitution Day recap

  • Fire drill and Evacuation Drill

  • PTA Reflections Night

  • Fun(d) Run roll out

  • Meet some staff

  • ...and more!

Please also note:

  • Next week we will hold a fire drill and then loop into a reunification drill.  We practice a reunification drill to ensure students feel prepared in the event that a building evacuation is required. More information regarding our reunification drills and safety protocols will be shared during Safe Schools Week in mid October.

  • A few weeks ago informational packets about the 2024-2025 PTA Reflections contest went home with students. Each packet had information about this year’s Reflections theme “Accepting Imperfections” and guidelines for submission in one of four categories: one of four categories: visual arts (2D or 3D), dance choreography, literature (short story, poem), and photography (new this year!).  Submissions are due Wednesday, November 6, 2024.   To help students bring their Reflections ideas to life, join us Tuesday, September 24th from 6:00-7:30 p.m. for Creativity Night, which will allow students to explore different art mediums, develop their ideas (both artistic and written), and just have fun. RSVP now to attend this FREE (thanks to the PTA!) event: RSVP for Creativity Night Here! Those who register will have a chance to win a prize at the event. Volunteers are also needed:  Volunteer for Creativity Night.  Please reach out with any questions to raccoonreflections@gmail.com

With Rogers Pride,

Mrs. Hasse
