Berkley High School Parking Permit Applications
BERKLEY HIGH SCHOOL
STUDENT PARKING PROCEDURES
Berkley High School students must have a valid 2024-2025 parking permit to park in the student lots. Cars parked in any student lot without a current, valid permit will be ticketed.
A BHS student may register for a parking permit if they have the following items:
- Valid driver’s license
- Proof of Insurance
- Completed Student Parking Permit Application
Process for Obtaining a Student Parking Permit
- Complete the Student Parking Permit Application.
- Carefully read the Student Parking Regulations and review all regulations with your parent or guardian.
- Bring your driver’s license, proof of insurance, and payment to the Student Services Office during school hours.
- Students will not be issued a parking permit and will not be allowed to park in the student lots until the entire process is complete.
Parking Permit Priority
All 12th grade students and any 11th grade student with a “travel” schedule (i.e., OSTC, Dual Enrollment, CASA) are granted parking priority during the first week of school (August 26 - August 29, 2024).
All remaining 11th graders will be able to purchase permits beginning the week of September 3, 2024.
Parking Permit Cost
The cost of a BHS Student Parking Permit is $40.00
Student Parking
Permitted Student Parking:
Berkley High School students who register their vehicle and properly display a parking decal (placed in the driver’s side lower corner of the windshield), may park in the two lots designated for students:
- Sunnyknoll Lot – located on Sunnyknoll Ave. at the southwest corner of school campus
- Catalpa Lot – located on Catalpa Dr. across the street from the BHS main entrance
Non permitted Student Parking:
Students may not park in the following areas:
- Staff Parking Lots
- Athletic Lot off Sunnyknoll from 7 AM - 3 PM
- Visitors Spaces
- Handicap Parking without a valid handicap parking pass from the Secretary of State
- Fire Lanes
- Areas where 'Do Not Park' signs are posted
- On yellow lines that designate no parking areas
- Nearby business or church parking lots
If the designated student lots are filled, you must look for legal parking on the street. The best way to guarantee that you will be able to park in the lots is to arrive early.
