Hurley Field Updates: Thank You Voters!
In April 2001, Berkley School District taxpayers approved two bond issues aimed at upgrading athletic facilities throughout the district which also included the HURLEY FIELD stadium complex.
Completed in August 2002, the renovations included the following:
- Replaced natural grass with new synthetic turf field with drainage system
- Replaced home grandstands that seat 1600 fans and press box
- Installed new stadium building under home bleachers that includes ticket windows, team locker rooms, spectator restrooms, maintenance and storage areas plus a fully equipped concessions area
- Installed new field lighting
- Installed new perimeter fencing
- Reconditioned running track
- Reconditioned visitor grandstands that seat 500 fans
In 2012, Hurley Field was updated with a new turf field, ready for the entire community to enjoy. In 2013, the scoreboard at the north end of the was replaced with a new digital scoreboard coupled with an optional LED message board.
