Veteran Reads to Norup Kindergarten Students

On November 11, Norup Kindergarteners in Kristina Scholl's class were visited by Marine veteran Ms. Falcon. Students sat attentively as Ms. Falcon read “Hero Mom” a book that shares how mothers who are in the military may not be superheroes out of a comic book but they are heroes, doing what they can to create a safer world for their country. After reading, Ms. Falcon answered various questions from students ranging from what military branch she represents and what type of work she did, as well as questions about favorite types of cookies and much more. This was an opportunity for students to learn more about the importance of Veterans Day and to share their gratitude for Ms. Falcon and the dedicated service of all our U.S. veterans.
