Elementary Teachers Pilot Math Curriculum and Work Together to Implement Vision

A group of elementary teachers, who are piloting two different math curricular resources, recently met as a team. Since piloting the new programs, the teacher group is making significant strides in implementing the innovative Elementary Math Vision that the team created last school year by aligning the District’s Strategic Plan and Essential Math Practices.

During the group work, the team engaged in meaningful discussions to recognize how the vision is being brought to life in the classroom and identifying both student successes and challenges through the lens of our rubric criteria. Additionally, they analyzed assessment data to inform future instructional practices and dedicated valuable time to planning and utilizing pilot resources for optimal student support.

Elementary Math Coach Melissa Miller shared, “We’re excited to see the positive impact these efforts will have on our students and the Berkley Schools community!”
