Pattengill Fun Run Includes Quiet Run

Pattengill students enjoyed their annual Fun Run on Friday, October 18. Students lined up at the starting line and were sent off by Principal Shamika Womble. This year, to start the Fun Run, students had the opportunity to complete a quiet run, where spectators waved and silently cheered them on. This silent lap allowed students to enjoy the Fun Run, even if they don’t enjoy loud noises! After the quiet lap, students ran around the block and were greeted by friends and family cheering them on.

Students raise funds leading up to the Fun Run, with the goal of earning prizes for the top fundraisers and top classrooms. The Fun Run is the largest fundraiser that the PTA holds all year. Pattengill students met many of their fundraising goals including twin day!
