Nurse Rose Visits Angell Kindergarten to Share Hand Washing Tips

Nurse Rose and a young student are engaged in an activity at a classroom table, with the educator assisting the student with a germ spotting flashlight. Both individuals are focused on the task with school supplies visible around them.

On Wednesday, September 18, Nurse Rose visited Angell Kindergarten students to share proper hand washing practices. Nurse Rose first shared the importance of washing your hands followed by a fun video where best practices were reinforced through song and dance. Students then took part in an engaging experiment. Nurse Rose used Glo Germ Gel, which simulates the presence of real germs and illuminates under UV light, showing where actual germs would reside. After washing their hands, students returned to their desks while Nurse Rose visited each of them to see how well they washed away the “germs” under the UV light.
