BHS Choir Students Attend Wayne State Voice Day

On Saturday, November 18th, select members of the Berkley High School Concert Choir attended the Wayne State Voice Day under the direction of Choir teacher Sarah Noble. The students performed one of their fall concert selections, "Will-o'-the-Wisp," in a workshop with WSU Director of Choral Activities, Dr. Brandon Waddles. They also observed a solo voice clinic with Professor Frances Brockington, enjoyed a recital of music performed by WSU alumni and faculty, learned how to "scat sing" with Vocal Jazz Specialist, April Tini, and ended the afternoon with an all-sing rehearsal and performance of "Bridge Over Troubled Water."
BHS alumna Savannah Moncreif (class of 2023) also assisted with the event as a current Wayne State vocal music education student. Ms. Nobel shared, “A wonderful time was had by all making choral music together and enjoying the company of like-minded peers from communities all over Michigan.”
