Schools of Choice
Enrolling in Berkley Schools as a non-resident through Schools of Choice is a two step process. You must first apply during the application period. Once accepted, you will receive an acceptance letter with directions on how to complete the enrollment process.
Schools of Choice 2024-25
Kindergarten - 5th grade
The Berkley School District Board of Education has approved limited Schools of Choice (Section 105) openings (up to 150 slots) in Transitional Kindergarten through 5th grade for Oakland County residents for the 2024-25 school year. The application period is February 12 - March 1, 2024. The application will be available by following a link listed below beginning February 12, 2024. Completed applications must be submitted online. No applications will be accepted after the deadline of 5:00 pm, March 1, 2024. Applicants will receive email notification of their student's Schools of Choice status mid - late April following the lottery.

Berkley Scholars - 9th grade entry
The Berkley School District Board of Education has approved limited Schools of Choice (Section 105) openings (up to 10 slots) in the Berkley High School Scholars Program (9th grade entry) for Oakland County residents for the 2024-25 school year. The application period is February 19 - March 8, 2024. The application will be available in the Principal's Office and by following the link below effective February 19, 2024. Completed applications with supporting documents must be returned to the Principal’s Office at Berkley High School, 2325 Catalpa, Berkley, Michigan, 48072, or faxed to 248-544-5860. No applications will be accepted after the deadline of 4:00 p.m., March 8, 2024. All applicants must complete an interview and provide evidence of criteria requirements (see Berkley Scholars Program information sheet below).
